Delete your WillSignal account

Uninstalling the app doesn't delete your account. It exists until you delete it — and you can do that yourself from any browser.

Sign in and delete it yourself

WillSignal accounts sign in with Google, Kakao, Apple, or an email address and password. Sign in, open Account → Delete account, and confirm.

Signed in but your account looks empty? Your provider may have issued a new ID, signing you into a fresh account. There's nothing to delete there — if your real account is elsewhere, use the email route below.
  1. 1

    A 30-day recoverable window opens

Sign back in during it and the deletion is cancelled.

  2. 2

    Your signal goes quiet immediately

While deletion is scheduled, nothing you've written will be delivered to anyone.

  3. 3

It stays off until you turn it back on

Returning within 30 days doesn't resume your signal — you restart it yourself.

  4. 4

    After 30 days, it's permanent

Your account, messages, drafts, and recipient designations are deleted for good.

  5. 5

    Messages already delivered are recalled

They disappear from other people's inboxes too, with no notice to them.

What outlives the account The record that you accepted the terms (kept as legal proof, identifying details stripped), an email-suppression entry if you ever unsubscribed (kept so we keep honouring it), any abuse report you filed or that was filed about you (kept for safety, with the links to the accounts removed), and encrypted backups that roll off within about a week. The Privacy Policy lists these in full.

If you used an email address and password and have forgotten it, reset it from the link on the sign-in screen. If you have lost access to the Google, Kakao, or Apple account you used, email admin.willsignal+privacy@gmail.com. We confirm you own the account before touching anything — the step that stops anyone else from deleting your account just by asking.
